$1M Lottery Win: Lucky Guess Lands Lynn Woman Big Pay Day

While most people have a "system" for playing the lottery, Kerri Omeara went her own way.

Omeara of Lynn recently won $1 million on a "100X Cash" scratch-off Massachusetts State Lottery ticket. Her secret? She picked a card at random.

Omeara decided to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 before taxes rather than the annuity.

She bought her ticket on Aug. 25 at Norm's Variety at 423 Eastern Ave. in Lynn. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the winner.
